KEYKEGS
We now supply empty KeyKegs and we have low-cost filling equipment for
breweries to manually fill KeyKegs with their own unique brews! In addition
we also supply KeyKegs filled with 30 litres of Frizzante Alzaia® Glera.
The
KeyKeg is a disposable keg consisting of a plastic ball, with an inner
food grade bag to contain the beer/beverage. The whole thing is packed
in a cardboard shell for stacking, etc.
There is a basic coupler, which we supply.
This looks very similar to other commercial couplers and connects to the
beer/beverage out line and the air in line from our dispenser. Once the
KeyKeg is connected to the dispenser, compressed air is pumped into the
space between the inner and outer spheres of the KeyKeg thus forcing beer,
wine, Prosecco, etc. out through the dispensing font at a suitably chilled
temperature. A great way to serve 'beer, etc. on the move'.
This is different to a normal keg because the compressed air never comes
into contact with the beverage, so keeping it fresh and free from contaminants.
This gives the product inside the KeyKeg an extended shelf life of many
weeks, even months (depending on the type of product).
The possibilities are endless and a great way for breweries to take their
beer out and about for people to taste as well as transporting it further
afield.
Having Prosecco on tap is economical and easy - no more messing about
with opening bottles, keeping them cold and disposing of them afterwards
- and it tastes great too!
